The Artificial Evolution association is under french law and brings together researchers, scientists, or students interested in artificial evolution and evolutionary computation. The association activities aim at encouraging exchanges and meetings in this field. Researchers involved in artificial evolution are interested in life mechanisms, such as natural evolution or organization of animal societies, and use recent technical or theoretical tools to extract new knowledge or new methods for problem solving.
Université Côte d'Azur is a leading French public research university based in Nice, with campuses in Sophia-Antipolis, Cannes, Grasse, Menton. It hosts 30,000 students, 20 % internationally, and is one of France’s top research-intensive institutions, awarded the “Initiative d’Excellence” label.

The purpose of AFIA, a non-profit association under the French Law of 1901, is to promote and encourage the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in its various forms, to bring together and grow the French AI community, and, to the best of its members' abilities, to ensure its visibility. AFIA is a member of EURAI (European Association for Artificial Intelligence). AFIA brings the community together by organizing major events. Every summer, it holds an AI week, the "AI Platform", which includes the "National Conference on Artificial Intelligence" (CNIA), "Meetings of Young Researchers in AI" (RJCIA) and "Conference on Practical Applications of AI" (APIA), as well as several hosted thematic conferences that evolve from year to year, without any obligation to recur.
Inria is the French national institute for research in digital science and technology, and since January 2024 has been responsible for the Digital Programs Agency, designed to strengthen the collective dynamics of higher education and research. Its DNA is based on world-class research, technological innovation and entrepreneurial risk. Within 220 project teams, most of which are shared with major research universities, more than 3,800 scientists are exploring new avenues, often in interdisciplinary collaboration with industrial partners, to meet ambitious challenges. As a technology institute, Inria supports a wide range of innovation paths: from open source software publishing to the creation of technology startups (Deeptech).
The French Society for Operational Research and Decision Support (ROADEF) is a non-profit organization governed by the French law of 1901. Its mission is to promote and encourage the development of Operational Research and Decision Support (OR/DS) in France, to disseminate knowledge among manufacturers, and to promote its teaching in initial and continuing education. ROADEF is a learned society listed by the French Ministry of Research and New Technologies. It is a member of EURO and IFORS.

The IT Doctoral School (école doctorale - ED 84), under the aegis of the COMUEs (Universities) Université Côte d'Azur and Paris Sciences et Lettres, is authorised to award the doctoral degree in Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies (STIC). This scientific field covers electronics, computing in the broadest sense, automatic control and signal and image processing, as well as artificial intelligence.
Digital Systems for Humans (DS4H) is one of the 8 thematic graduate schools of Université Côte d'Azur. It is focused on scientific, technological and human aspects of the digital world and the digital society. On the education side, DS4H offers 5 masters (majors): Computer Science, Electronics, MIAGE, Intellectual Property and New Technologies Law and Digital Strategy / Management of Digital and Innovation. It awards doctorates with the STIC, DESPEG and SHAL doctoral schools. On the scientific side, DS4H runs a multidisciplinary research programme involving 13 leading laboratories in digital and social sciences.
The "Networks, Information, and Digital Society" Academy is one of the five Academies of Excellence at Université Côte d'Azur. High-level research laboratories are working together within the Academy to study new digital technologies, their applications, and their societal acceptability. The Academy is funded by the Initiative of Excellence (IdEx). It develops initiatives to support transdisciplinary research projects, the organisation of scientific events, and the mobility of researchers and students from the research entities and doctoral schools within its scope.

The group of research Operational Research and Decisions (ORD) from the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) is a structure created in 2006. Its creation reflects the desire of the OR community to have a tool for structuring its scientific activity. Operations and Decision Research is the discipline of scientific methods that can be used to develop better decisions. It is used to rationalise, simulate and optimise the architecture and operation of production or organisational systems.
